22nd April 2021

Earth Day on April 22nd each year marks the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970. Earth Day is assigned a different theme or area of focus each year; this year’s theme is “Restore Our Earth”. This focuses on natural processes, emerging green technologies, and innovative thinking that can restore the world’s ecosystems. In this way, the theme rejects the notion that mitigation or adaptation are the only ways to address climate change. It is up to each and every one of us to Restore Our Earth not just because we care about the natural world, but because we live on it. We all need a healthy Earth to support our jobs, livelihoods, health & survival, and happiness. A healthy planet is not an option — it is a necessity.

Planetary health: Pampering the earth to pamper you – Plant-based foods better feed the world by providing an abundance of nutritious food using far fewer natural resources and creating far less pollution and global warming.

“Eat plenty of fresh, ripe and seasonal vegetables and fruits daily and add more legumes, nuts and whole grains to your diet. Legumes and nuts are great sources of plant-based protein. What’s more, legumes can be cheaper than animal proteins. They’re also kinder on our planet.”

Go green, Pamper the earth to pamper you & Save the planet!
