Certified in Lifestyle Medicine
The Society of Lifestyle Medicine of Nigeria (SOLONg) is now offering members the opportunity to obtain certification in Lifestyle Medicine.
Board Certification demonstrates your competency in Lifestyle Medicine; augmenting your clinical or public health practice with a solid grounding in preventing, managing and reversing chronic and lifestyle-related diseases.
This is open to various categories of healthcare professionals. Become certified now and join the global team of healthcare professionals in this new and rapidly evolving field of Medicine.
WHY CERTIFY?
There are now two ways to Certify in Lifestyle Medicine
- Lifestyle Medicine Core Accreditation (LMCA). This is an interactive, immersive programme, comprising of online theoretical and practice content, in-person CPDs (BSLM annual conference/SOLONg annual conference) along with assessments which include a blend of formative MCQs, written assignments, and a case study.

Sign up for an information evening. - International Board of Lifestyle Medicine (IBLM) Certification. which follows an exam and pre-requisite pathway. Pre-requisites to the Exam include the Lifestyle Medicine Board Review course, an American-based course, in-person cpd (through SOLONg’s annual conference) and the submission of a written case study). Exams take place once a year at a Prometric test centre.

About the Exam
Location/Date: The location and date for the 2023 IBLM Examinations will be communicated soon.
Exam duration and items/questions:
- 150 multiple choice questions for Lifestyle Medicine physicians (four hours)
- 120 multiple choice questions for Lifestyle Medicine professionals / practitioners (three hours).
(CPD must not be older than thirty-six months prior to the exam)

Eligibility
- You must be a licensed Physician in your country of residence
- You must be a full member of SOLONg or Lifestyle Medicine body of your country of residence. To join SOLONg, complete the registration form here
Prerequisites
- 30h of online/non-live CME. (See approved online CMEs here)
- 10h of in-person CME e.g attendance of Lifestyle Medicine Conference. This will also be available during our conference in 2023 (See details soon).
- A case study outlining your personal experience with lifestyle medicine. See this pdf. (Deadline for submission will be communicated soon).

Lifestyle Medicine Professional
Eligibility
- You must hold a Ph.D or Masters in health or allied discipline
- You must be a full member of SOLONg or Lifestyle Medicine body of your country of residence. To join SOLONg, complete the registration form here
